Spin With Us At FlyWheel on Feb 1st to Support Experience Camps!
On this #GivingTuesday we are so proud to announce an off-season charity event run by our very own campers and staff - "Eagles Fly at FlyWheel".

At Camp Echo, we don't just want to talk about our camp values; we want to celebrate them! Echo Cares has always been an important part of our summer but with the help of our 2020 CITs and our extended community - we are bringing the spirit of giving back to the off-season.
Join us on Saturday February 1st at 1:30 PM at FlyWheel Sports in Flatiron (NYC) as we spin for Experience Camps, a non-profit organization that gives children who are grieving from losing a loved one, the opportunity to attend a one-week summer camp. These camps, located throughout the United States help build confidence, encourage laughter, and allows campers to navigate their grief through friendship, teamwork, athletics, and the common bond of loss. You can learn more about Experience Camps here.
There are several ways to get involved:

About Experience Camps:
Experience Camps provide boys and girls whose parent, sibling or primary caregiver has died, with a program that helps build confidence, encourages laughter and allows them to navigate their grief through friendship, teamwork, athletics, and the common bond of loss.
It is a safe environment where kids can explore their grief, break the isolation they may feel with their non-camp peers, and have a whole lot of fun. They have the opportunity to meet and connect with kids who are coping with similar challenges, while getting all of the benefits of the traditional summer camp experience. Through team sports, favorite camp traditions and community living they learn about leadership, confidence and cooperation. Under the guidance of professional bereavement staff, campers have the opportunity to share stories and remember the one who died, while exploring skills that will help them after camp.
The program is designed to maximize each camper’s time with his or her bunkmates to give him or her time to bond and build the trust that leads to open communication. Campers can play their favorite sports, engage in creative activities, and explore new skills, like rock climbing, waterskiing, and archery. A full day of fun and rewarding activity takes place in the beautiful outdoors, surrounded by accepting friends, supportive counselors and fresh air.

About Echo Cares:
Echo Cares is our community service initiative run by our very own campers and assisted by our top leadership. Children can make a difference and we encourage each and every one of them to find a cause about which they care and use camp as a stepping stone to bringing more kindness to our communities at home.
